2 Data We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to arrange your safari and respond to your enquiries. We do not collect data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

✓ We do not collect: credit card numbers, bank details, passwords, biometric data, or any data beyond what is needed to arrange your safari and submit your Forest Department permit.
3 How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data solely for the following purposes:
- Safari booking: To check availability, confirm your slot, and submit your details to the Uttarakhand Forest Department portal for permit generation.
- Communication: To respond to your enquiries, send booking confirmations, and share your safari permit via WhatsApp.
- Reminders: To send you a pre-safari reminder (gate timing, documents required) the evening before your booking, if you opt in.
- Forest Department compliance: Visitor names and ID numbers are submitted to the official Forest Department booking system as legally required for all Rajaji National Park safaris.
- Service improvement: Aggregated, anonymous website usage data helps us understand which information pages are most useful to visitors.
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, sell your data to any third party, or share it with any commercial organisation unrelated to your safari booking.
4 WhatsApp & Phone Call Data
Our primary communication channel is WhatsApp (7820012558). When you message or call us:
- Your phone number, name (if set in WhatsApp), and message content are visible to us in our WhatsApp Business account.
- WhatsApp conversations are stored by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy policy, which you can review at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- We retain WhatsApp booking conversations for up to 12 months for booking reference and dispute resolution purposes.
- Call logs (number, duration, date) are stored on our device for up to 6 months.
ⓘ WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit. Your messages are visible to us (the recipient) and to WhatsApp/Meta as per their platform terms. We never forward your personal messages to any third party without your consent.
5 Third Parties We Share Data With
We share your data only where legally required or operationally necessary for your safari:
- Uttarakhand Forest Department: Your name, age, and Aadhaar/Passport number are submitted to the official Forest Department safari booking portal to generate your permit. This is a legal requirement for all Rajaji National Park safaris.
- Google Analytics (if present): Anonymous, aggregated website usage data only. No personal identification. You can opt out via browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google Maps: The map embed on our Contact page is served by Google Maps. Google may set cookies when this map loads. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts: Font files are loaded from Google Fonts servers, which may log your IP address as part of normal CDN operation.
We do not share your data with any hotel, tour operator, travel agency, or other commercial entity without your explicit request.
6 Data Storage & Security
Your booking information is stored in our WhatsApp Business account and on our devices in Haridwar, India. We take the following measures to protect your data:
- WhatsApp conversations are protected by end-to-end encryption in transit.
- Our devices are password-protected and not shared with unauthorised persons.
- Booking records are retained for 12 months from the date of your safari, then deleted.
- Aadhaar/Passport numbers are used solely for permit submission and are not stored beyond the booking confirmation period.
- No personal data is stored on our website — this is a static HTML site with no database.
🔒 Our website (rajajinationalparktravel.com) does not have a login system, user accounts, or any server-side database. No personal data is stored on the website itself.
7 Your Rights
Under applicable Indian data protection law (Information Technology Act, 2000 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you have the following rights:
- Right to access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: You may request correction of inaccurate data (e.g., a misspelled name in a booking).
- Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data after your safari is complete, subject to any legal retention requirements.

8 Cookies
